Moving again

Well, enough for this part of New Mexico – time to head north! The 164 mile drive to our next campground just east of Albuquerque was uneventful. The campground is a bit on the shabby side and pretty hilly, but it is nice to be up in a more mountainous area with some trees around. And, mountain lions and black bears according to the staff in the office!

We got settled in around 1:00, ate lunch and later went down the hill to do laundry. While the machines were doing our work for us, we enjoyed visiting with an older couple who are visiting about 10 national parks in the west while travelling in their pop-up trailer! They spent 10 years full-timing and volunteering for SOWERS (a non-denominational Christian ministry of RVers) and we really enjoyed hearing of their travels (including Soldotna, AK).

We watched a movie this evening after taking a walk around the park. Tomorrow looks like it’ll be an errand day and a chance to check out Albuquerque a bit more.
