Exploring Boerne and shopping and...

The rally doesn’t officially start till Tuesday, so today Dick & Karin joined us in our car for a trip to the Farmer’s Market in downtown Boerne. We wandered around enjoying the craft items and the various pets! The items here were of pretty good quality – great, actually, compared to the Don-Wes flea market that we go to in the RGV!

Then it was on to the mall down I-10 about 10-12 miles. First stop was Best Buy so Lora could research printers (yes – I’m STILL fighting with that HP from last year!). Then we spent about an hour in the Bass Pro Shop where we browsed through the zillions of things for sale and enjoyed the “fish” demonstration. Then we wandered over to the Verizon store so Dick & Karin could check out the Wi-Fi air card. So, while the Verizon manager went to find one of the air cards for them, we went to lunch nearby and then went back to pick up their air card and headed back home. Still had a couple hours daylight, so we grabbed our geo-cache stuff and found 2 of 3 geo-caches in this area. One was on the grounds of a convent and had a gorgeous view which included a huge herd of deer!

Great day!
